Hydrafacial

Known for its three-step process, the Hydrafacial works to deep-clean, exfoliate, and hydrate your skin. This professional procedure may help treat a variety of skin conditions, including acne, dryness, pigmentation, and wrinkles.

Step 1: Cleansing & Exfoliation – Activ-4™

• Deeply cleanses skin while softening sebum and impurities to aid in extractions.
• Assists in dislodging dead skin cells for exfoliation and provides residual hydration that aids in firming and smoothing the appearance of fine lines.

Step 2: Extract – BETA – HD™

• Salicylic Acid enhanced with Willow Bark gently exfoliates preventing the buildup of dirt and sebum within pores.
• A multi-action specialised skin solutions formulated for oily and congested skin but can be used with all skin types.

Step 3: Hydrate – ANTIOX+™

• Reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while helping to improve hydration and elasticity.
• Naturally detoxifies and helps fight against environmental free radicals.
• Combines deeply moisturising Hyaluronic Acid with detoxifying antioxidants and firming peptides.

• Do not laser the treated area for min 2 weeks
• Avoid using exfoliating products containing salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide 2 days prior to treatment.
• Avoid micro needling 4 weeks prior to treatment.
• Avoid skin care containing active ingredients 2 days prior to treatment (i.e Vitamin A, Vitamin C)
• Avoid chemical peels for 2 weeks prior to receiving Hydrafacial treatment
• Avoid hot baths, steam rooms and any heat treatments (sunbeds) 48 hours prior.
• Avoid area exposure to the sun for min 2 weeks
• No waxing 7 days prior to treatment

• Do not laser the treated area for a minimum of 2 weeks
• Do not exfoliate the skin for 7 days
• Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours
• Avoid skin care containing active ingredients 7 days after treatment (i.e., Vitamin A, Vitamin C)
• Avoid hot baths, steam rooms, hot yoga, sunbeds, and intense workouts in the treated area for 48 hours.
• Avoid sun exposure for a minimum of 2 weeks and apply SPF 30 + daily (best with Zinc Oxide)
• Avoid using retinol products 2 days after treatment
• Avoid swimming for the next 48 hours
• Avoid any aggressive treatments on the treatment area for 2 weeks
• Avoid facial waxing for 7 days
• Avoid wearing make up for 48 hours
• Apply an SPF 30 daily (best with Zinc Oxide)

Minor side effects, though rare, may include:

• Mild redness and itching on the skin, which subsides quickly.
• Temporary redness or swelling caused by hydra-facial micro-abrasive peeling function, which can last up to 48 hours following treatment.
• Heat sensation
• Flaking
• Lumps and bumps

Although these are rare, they can still happen; however all of them are manageable and NOT permanent.

While the Hydrafacial is said to be free of complications, you may feel light pressure from the wand during the procedure.
Unlike other cosmetic treatments, the Hydrafacial isn’t supposed to cause pain or prolonged redness.
However, you should avoid this procedure if you have an active rash.
