How Does Fat Freezing Work?
The CLATUU ALPHA® is scientifically guaranteed to freeze and eliminate fat cells targeted to specific areas of the body. Each cooling applicator is engineered to target your subcutaneous fat layer without damaging any surrounding tissues, so it is completely non-invasive. The treatment uses controlled cooling to target and crystallise stubborn fat cells which are then naturally eliminated from the body over time.
Any remaining fat cells will shrink, leading to further slimming of the treated area. While diet and exercise can shrink fat cells, poor habits can cause them to regrow. With CLATUU ALPHA®, your fat cells are permanently destroyed and will not come back.
The CLATUU ALPHA® has an upgraded and patented 360̊ degree surround cooling technology. Unlike the older conventional two-sided cooling methods, it increases efficiency by up to 18.1%, allowing delivery of cooling to the entire cup and as a result removes fat cells more effectively.
Unlike traditional liposuction, fat freezing does not require surgery or incisions, and there is little to no downtime. Even if you were to gain weight in the future, the area treated would not collect fat in the same way so you can enjoy a permanently contoured appearance.
What To Expect During Fat Freezing Treatment?
During the 40–60-minute treatment, you may experience intense stinging, tingling, aching or cramping as the treatment begins. These sensations fade after the first 10 minutes and decreases as the tissue becomes numb from the cold applicator, so it becomes a lot more comfortable.
When the applicator is removed, the treated area feels cold and hard. There could be transient blanching (whiteness) of the skin and/or intense red to purple colour, bruising, swelling or tenderness. There can be a possibility of small suction applicator marks. These changes last up to several hours after the applicator is removed. Immediately after the treatment the therapist will massage the semi frozen area of fat to improve the treatment outcome. After treatment, you may experience slight redness, bruising or soreness but these should not interfere with your daily routine. Loose clothing is advised post treatment to reduce any irritation/discomfort.
What To Expect After Fat Freezing Treatment?
In the days following your treatment you may experience; aching, bruising, redness, swelling, tenderness, itching, sensitivity and/or tingling. This can last 1-3 weeks. The skin may feel numb, this decrease in sensation can last for several weeks but resolves slowly.
Our clients should normally see a noticeable improvement in the treated area after 6 weeks. Remaining fat cells continue to be gradually eliminated from the body, resulting in further fat reduction. The full benefit of treatment can be seen after 90 days, at which point it can be assessed whether another treatment is needed (min 30-day intervals).
Generally, each treatment yields between 25-30% reduction of the stubborn fat content of a particular target area of the body. One application can reduce the calliper pinch size by 1cm. How many treatments needed depends on the thickness of the subcutaneous fat. CLATUU ALPHA® treatment can be repeated on the same area at 30-day intervals.
